Llanura integrates architecture, landscape, and local Argentine culture

Project redefines luxury through essential, authentic, timeless experiences

Set within the vast flatlands characteristic of the Argentine Pampas, this ensemble of stables and polo-related residences is conceived as a project that integrates architecture, landscape, and local culture. Inspired by Argentine rural tradition, the project proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of luxury – understood not as excess, but as an experience rooted in connection to the essential, the authentic, and the timeless.

Llanura is a built manifesto grounded in the identity of the Argentine countryside. The architecture does not impose itself on the landscape; it emerges from it. A plinth of rammed-earth walls, made from soil extracted directly from the site, provides structure, texture, and a sense of belonging.

Resting above are volumes of locally sourced rustic timber, left untreated, intended to weather naturally and engage with time, climate, and the open landscape. Each design decision balances tradition and contemporaneity, with a focus on sensory experience.

Fire – both as gesture and as space – is a central axis of the project. Present in the social areas of the stables as well as in the residences, it organizes moments of gathering, rest, and celebration. In this context, architecture not only provides shelter but fosters a collective, intimate experience deeply connected to the landscape.

Llanura does not seek to stand out from its surroundings, but to flow with them. It is an architecture of rootedness, conceived for everyday use, that values the relationship between the Argentine countryside, its practices, and the world of polo, through a contemporary and essential lens.
